Motifs, Doilies, Mixed Media, Ice Drops, Earrings, Edging, Bookmarks,

Vera has been tatting the Magic Square and didn't have to cut it and the thread didn't break, so all is well with her tatting, although the storm caused other kinds of problems.

Marthanne has row 12 done on Renulek's 2017 Doiley, which is the #20 done in white. She's working on row 12 with the Latte Foam #40 but is slow in tatting this summer.

Melanie is using Cotton Perle in size 8 for her cro-tat project which is shown here front and back.

Cindy finished another Ice Drop – this time with a faceted gem from Diane and she loves the royal blue, but ended up running out for the rings to enclose the gem and a little darker blue worked just fine. Which, of course, made her start to think about using a different colour on purpose for those last 6 rings!

Claire tatted Elizabeth's "Tiger Eye" earrings and loved them so much she couldn't resist doing them in other colours. These two pairs were both made with Lizbeth thread of size 20: black (# 604) on the left, and 'medium violet' (# 632) on the right; And Toho beads of size 15/0: transparent on the left and 'black of jet' on the right, although she decided to use the beads a little differently from the original model.

Diane finished up round 6 of Alenalea's doily. Then she started in on round 7 which was slowed in progress by her watching Poldark. Since she missed out on tatting an Ice Drop, she started her day with one in blue. She finished "Camilla" from Tatted Bookmarks ~ cross-shaped by Lene Bjorn, and still has plenty of size 20 Lizbeth Green Coral Sea. She finish Alenalea's mystery doily and she's really glad she chose to tat it in blue and white, one of her favorite colour combinations. She had plenty of thread left on the shuttles to tat another Ice Drop. Reading kept her from tatting  much, but she did get in another Ice Drop. She started with Marigold Motif in size 20 Lizbeth #629, Azalea Lt from New Tatting by Tomoko Morimoto. Since she had Azalea Lt and Green Coral Sea left on shuttles, she decided to combine the two for this Ice Drop. The switched the colours for this next one.

Fox was going to crochet a baby blanket, but decided to tat a button motif instead and give the yarn to someone who will enjoy using it.

Marie is on round 6 of her doily.

Muskaan has experimented with more Quatrefoil Squares and Flowers with lots of interesting combinations. This is a very simple insertion – rings and chains that can be worked with one shuttle and ball, which she has used to create a bookmark. She had an idea to tat a bracelet, adding beads but it was a size mismatch, as these seed beads were too large for size 40 thread. She has provided the steps for making a Rakhi bracelet which incorporates floral shapes for a layered effect.

Sue tatted Barbara's Snowflake Ice Drop pattern showing the front and the back, which is quite intricate. Number 6 is Diane's Purple Fudge Ice Drop pattern. Seven is Diane's Minty Fudge Ice Drop pattern. This little Ice Drop ornament was inspired by many others, and someone might have already tatted one like it. Diane's Minty Fudge pattern altered by leaving the large bead off and putting tiny beads on the rings where the picots would be.
